Biography
As native of Henan (Luoyang) in Central China, I received my undergraduate education in forestry science and MS in ecophysiology (Beijing Forestry University), and PhD in ecophysiology (Niigata University, Japan). My postdoc training (Japan Science and Technology Corporation) was in tropical forest carbon cycle (1997-2000). I was a Research Fellow (National Institute for Environmental Studies) in boreal forest carbon cycle (2001-2005).
Research Interests
My research is on terrestrial ecosystem carbon (CO2, CH4, N2O) cycle and its interactive feedbacks to climate change and natural and human disturbances. With supports of continuous competitive funding from the Ministry of the Environment of Japan, my current research projects focus on response and feedback of the monsoon Asian soil organic carbon (SOC) emission to global warming.

・Institute of Geographic Sciences and Natural Resources Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences (2014-2017)
Research assistant, (September 2014-June 2017)
・Center for Agricultural Resources Research, Institute of Genetics and Developmental Biology, Chinese Academy of Sciences (2011-2014)
Research assistant, (September 2011-June 2014)Research Interests
My research interests are related to biogeochemical processes in carbon and water cycle of different ecosystems. My past research had investigated the effects of forest type and stand age on soil CO2 efflux in a temperate forest ecosystem. I also had obtained the root water-uptake diagram in a crop ecosystem using stable isotopes. Currently, my research interests are focusing on the soil CO2 efflux in tropical forests, including the variations of soil respiration and its functional components (heterotrophic respiration and root-rhizosphere respiration), and its responses to environmental factors, and soil respiration partition method comparison.

Biography
I received my M. S. (March 2009) and Ph. D. (March 2012) in forest science from Graduate School of Agricultural and Life Sciences, The University of Tokyo. After the three months as postdoctoral researcher in the same graduate school (April 2012- June 2012), I became technical fellow (July 2012- March 2015, April 2018- March 2020) and postdoctoral researcher (April 2015- March 2017) in National Institute for Environmental Studies (NIES). In NIES, I engaged in long-term monitoring studies for understory carbon fluxes in typical Asian monsoon forests. I am assistant professor in Tottori University from April 2020.
Research Interests
My research interest is on terrestrial carbon cycle mechanisms and the influence of climate change and land management on those mechanisms. Especially, I recently interested in those research topics in arid land ecosystems.
